Maeri is absolutely breath taking! When someone says a TB cannot have upper level movement all they have to do is take a look at her. With only 4 starts under her she retired back in 2017 with no desire to race. She hated the gates, hated horses running up on her, and she always wanted to be wide on the outside. It just wasn't a good fit for her and obviously that is okay bc skies the limit for her in a second. Her owner is a little older and just took her home and turned her out.. what is most impressive is she has maintained her weight beautifully off of 24 turnout and grass with very little grain. She is barefoot and has been barefoot but bc of personal preference we do plan to put shoes on her before starting her back (if she doesnt sell before) VERY kind and quiet. She has no vices and is very simple.. takes in new environments well and is good in a stall or turned out. I am not set up for 24 hour turnout so she is in a stall during the day and turned out at night. We have introduced grain back into her diet with unlimited amounts of hay. This is going to be a NICE mare when finished out by the right person and I cannot wait to see how she does!
