Dozer is the best of both worlds... he has enough athletism to be fancy and has a Wonderful and promising jump, but he is gentle enough to pack around and play with your kids. He has a great brain and doesnt have a mean bone in his body. Low man in the field, he never causes any trouble. Absolutely NO Vices or behavioral issues!!! He is about as easy as a horse comes when it comes to be an "easy keeper."
Great feet, he has been barefoot for a few years with no issues. He's been ridden in an arena and has been out on quite a few trails... Great at both. Light mouth, easy ride, and willing. This horse is massive, he will size up to a draft/x or WB any day of the week, his pictures do not do his size justice.
Went through training in 2023 and then was turnedout at his connections farm where he kept growing not only up but out.... He was never going to make a good racehorse simply due to his size and large frame.
He does have a slight roar, it causes no issue with his performance. He was scoped as a yearling coming two before starting training (standard for his connections to do with all their horses) and the vet said "you could drive a semi down his throat." (Meaning it was very open)
He has no soundness issues. Ride him every day.. or take a few days off. He will still be the same horse.
The past few months we have really noticed him mature. He has always been a wonderful horse, but is becoming such a mature, smart, and all around gentleman of a horse.
My 6 year old daughter had recently taken a few good spills and she has been using him to built her confidence back up bc she feels safe on him.
This horse has had a lot of time and miles put on him.
He is green jumping but 100% game and has a big jump with a ton of scope. Due to his size and willingness we have kept the jumps small and consistent, but i have no doubt he will do big things when the time comes.
