I rescued this mare out of a bad situation bc I believed she deserves a second chance to be in the right hands. We've had her several months and when she came to the farm she was literally scared of her own shadow. Someone was really hard on her and it seemed like she was just waiting for harsh reprimand. We've worked on her trusting people again, but she can be shy to strangers still. Incredibly sweet filly with so much love to give naturally though. She's been tacked and hand walked, we have also started to work on lunging (she has her good and bad days, doesn't have it down perfect)
Was said to be broke and have rides but honestly I want no part in how they "broke" her so we started from the very beginning to do it right. Have laid over her with no issues but she has had no actual rides and I would suggest the person that gets her continues on the path of bonding with her and trust before throwing a saddle on her and making her go backwards when she's come so far. She has had a lot of really good moments and you can tell she does have a good brain and she is a thinker if given the option... she is not going to do well with someone that wants to push her beyond what she's ready to do, someone with load or aggressive training methods, and she will probably do best with someone that has knowledge of working with or breaking young horses so that trust can be there.
She's a really cool little filly, tons of potential and was just dealt a bad hand at life. I'm hoping her second chance does her well and let's her shine.
She's extremely solid, even though she's small. Easy keeper, no vices, low in the herd.
