Avery is a horse I really care about.. there is just something so special about him. He is a bit of a complex character and is one of those horses you figure out something new one day at a time. He recently retired and came to the farm to start adjusting for a new career.. at first he seemed completely confused of the environment but quickly adjusted in... shortly after he made friends with any and everything he could from the mini horse to the free roaming pot bellied pigs, goat, and sheep. He is such a kind and genuine soul and he wants to please. He needs a person that wants to go through the steps with him and help him learn his new job without rushing him through the motions. One thing is guaranteed, when he finds that partner he will probably do absolutely anything for them. As of now he has acclimated well to a normal farm routine and loves turn out in a small herd. Turnout and being able to see everything for himself in a new place really helped his transition and it's something I suggest for his new person as well. I cannot say enough things about this horse bc I do think he is special! Retired sounds, legs are very clean, and no vices!
While he waits we will continue moving forward with working on lunging and undersaddle.
